“Small stuff” that makes me, me and not you…hugmamma
Article in the Wall Street Journal suggests that soccer not only entertains, but instills important life lessons and so should be promoted in schools nationwide. The dictionary definition of “sports” encompasses ballet and other dance forms. They also entertain, and instill important life lessons. Unlike traditional athletes, dancers are not positioned to earn millions. Those belonging to European companies can earn a living wage because they are usually government subsidized, not so with their American counterparts. I would venture to say that most dancers are at, or below, the poverty income level. Wouldn’t it be awesome if super-rich athletes extended a helping hand and sponsored financially strapped dance groups around the country? Their wealth would go much farther, if they invested in others with talent like theirs.
