Patricia Heaton, the harried wife in the new sitcom “the middle,” has been a favorite of mine since she was wife to Ray Romano’s over-sexed, immature, whiny, mama’s boy character. While Ray Barone came off as despicable, I could forgive Archie Bunker his faults. If Edith could love him in spite of his boorishness, then he couldn’t be so bad, especially since he truly thought his views were correct. But my all-time favorite sitcom is “I Love Lucy.” At times my life seems to mirror hers, when I have Lucy “moments.” My antics could have been scripted for her show…hugmamma.
