Having a passion for vintage furnishings is the equivalent of being…an organized hoarder.
There is a silver lining, however. I’m downsizing. Have been for years.
Trouble is as stuff goes out the front door…more stuff comes in the back.

We got rid of some stuff but not a lot. I love books and collect books. That was the biggest collection that came. I just can’t part with them. Not sure what my collection will look like in another 20 years…

ha, ha. My book collection is enlarging as we speak. Where they occupied the shelves in a bookcase, my books are finding their way onto tables, antique chests, my kitchen island and so on. They’re beginning to look like tentacles on an octopus. The crazy thing is I have a Nook from last Christmas that’s still sitting in its box. I can’t bring myself to read e-books. Holding a book in my hand and thumbing through the pages is still magical. One day I’ll use my Nook…to play games, read magazines. Maybe I’ll finally opt to use it when traveling instead of carting along a heavy book. That’s maybe…just maybe. 😆

I love to collect stuff as well…it made my move to London a tad bit difficult 😉 Nice collection.

Since I’m in my 60s, I truly want to downsize. The challenge is choosing what to rid from my collection of stuff. Sentimentality creeps in, as does the thought that some items are so difficult to come by anymore. Did you downsize your collection before moving? BTW, what I posted was just a tiny fraction of my hoarding. 😦
