With environmental catastrophes occurring the world over, it’s no wonder we’re running for the nearest exit.
Folks are finally getting wise to global warming.
Will we succeed in turning back the clock? Probably not. Nature has a way of forging ahead, regardless of mankind’s agenda.
There’s no fixing the holes we’ve burned through the ozone layer.
There’s no fixing the erosion we’ve caused by stripping the land of its trees.
There’s no bringing back the wildlife forced into extinction because of our greed.
We will pay for our sins…unless we come to our senses.
Question is…are we too late?
Maybe.

Dear Millie,
I clicked the like button, but you raised so many questions that shed light on the guilt of us all, that it’s hard to truly like your story. Well written though it is. 😉
Shalom,

I guess 100 words is not enough for the bigger discussion. Thanks for the honesty, Rochelle.

Dear Millie,
I feel like I miss-communicated. I don’t mean to say that I don’t like your writing or your story. What you’ve written exposes us all for the wasters of resources that we are. I apologize if I wasn’t clear.
Shalom and hugs to the hugmamma,

I totally get that you don’t like what’s happened environmentally and our part in its ongoing demise. No apologies necessary. hugs for feeling the need to clarify…

There’s no fixing runs through this piece like the pendulum of a clock – ticking down our hours. Kudos

Great story and well told! Yes, we are the destructive species on the planet. We do have the ability to correct our mistakes – but as you say – Will we? Have a good week and I love your writing style huggamama! Nan 🙂

HG, Let’s hope it’s not too late. What concerns me is it took a giant plague like the Black Death to repopulate Europe with animals after the Romans practically wiped them out with the arena spectacles. With less people, nature recovered. I fear that more than some super bomb. The smallest of creatures could decide our fate on earth as well as that of the earth. I like to be optimistic though and hope and pray for the best. Well-written piece. 🙂 —Susan
