boogying with MJ

If you’ve read my blog since day one, it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Michael Jackson’s talent as a performer. Singing and dancing have always been in my blood, so I recognize the genius that he was. While the internet is rife with MJ’s dvds, it’s not always easy finding my way through the miles and miles of inventory to uncover those that keep me riveted. This page is my own catalog which serves as a reminder of the once-in-a-lifetime entertainer that was Michael Jackson. And it lets me “get down with my bad self,” as my daughter has said of me, once or twice. Even seniors have their moments!

i’ve got music, i’ve got rhythmn…who could ask for anything more…hugmamma.

  1. My sister and me are big fans of Michael since early childhood (she’s almost 30, I’m almost 26).
we love him, his music, dancing, style,… When he died I was pregnant, I remember how I was crying, but how scared I was to cry too much because of baby. But still when I see his videos, or interviews on youtube/TV, I get sad and sentimental. He was unique and no one will ever be like that, and no one should try.

    • Am so thrilled to meet another MJ fan! I very rarely have anyone with whom I can go on about his talent, his music, his dance moves, his videos. And you’re only 26, just a year older than my daughter. How did you get to know about Michael Jackson? You were probably a toddler when he was in his 20s. I’ll definitely have to do another post about him. At least I know you and Jackie Paulson will enjoy it.

      • His music was played in our home, so I grew up listening him (among many other greats), and then with sister started collecting all albums, buying VHS’s with videos, “Moonwalker”,… when I was about 3 he was 30.

        • Another MJ fan! Don’t get too many visiting my blog. Love that you did. I’m older than he would have been had MJ lived, so I think I was in my late 20s when he was really taking off. I got busy with being married and didn’t get back into MJ until he died. After that I bought everything I could about him to catch up. So looks like you were way ahead of me in that regard.

          hugs for the comment…meant a lot…hugmamma. 😉

    • So sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Very few, if any, have commented about MJ. So your comment is doubly appreciated. I still think of what a loss we suffered when he died. Such a pity…but perhaps he’s found his peace. I hope so.

      hugs…hugmamma. 🙂
