OMG!!! Just discovered something that’s been a mystery to me for 7 months. How were my posts getting out to the wordpress.com community? You may think from how spiffy-looking my blog appears (readers have left comments saying so), that I know all there is to know about blogging. Duhhh?!? Not really. Even when I query the support staff, who are very willing and able, I’m not always certain what their answers mean. As I’ve said on other occasions, my 61-year-old brain is not wired for tech-speak. It’s almost like a foreign language that I have to translate into plain English.

Once I asked the wordpress.com staff if I’d done anything technically to prohibit my posts from being seen “out there.” They succinctly replied that they had not. So I went my merry way thinking I’d been somehow ostracized from the wordpress.com world-at-large. No problem, I thought. I’ll keep writing like a hobbit in a cave, sending my posts out by carrier pigeons, or maybe via Harry Potter’s owl.

Lo and behold (my daughter’s words), all the tag words I’ve labored over so that my posts could be seen (I knew that much) really do work…even for me! Not until today did I ever think to click on the tag words beneath my posts. Voila! I clicked on “postaday2011,” and there in black and white is a listing of my posts. Astonished, I clicked on “parenting,” and there again in black and white is a listing of my posts.

on the outside i may not look like a senior citizen (so people say)…believe me…on the inside i’m getting older by the second!…hugmamma.
